Letter from the Chapter

Greetings from The Hill!

As sisters of the Epsilon Zeta Chapter, it is our pleasure to welcome you to the Western Kentucky University Sigma Kappa website. Our members are a strong group of women committed to making positive changes to an already thriving chapter. With the support of our strong membership, we can build on the positive traditions of the past and continue to live by our four core values: personal growth, friendship, service, and loyalty.

Sigma Kappa is not just a sorority or the Greek letters on one’s chest, but rather, it is a lifelong commitment to serve and dedicate oneself to her sisters beside her. We work to raise money every semester for our philanthropies: Sigma Kappa Foundation, Inherit the Earth, Maine Seacoast Mission, Gerontology, and Alzheimer's Research. Our sisters can be found participating in fundraising or raising awareness for one of our philanthropies, attending WKU’s athletic events, partaking in Greek Week and Homecoming, or being active in a number of other organizations on campus. We encourage all of our members to not only participate in other organizations, but to be active members with leadership roles.

Sigma Kappa constantly pushes the boundaries of sisterhood. We are collectively brought together from many different backgrounds, personalities, and majors. As sisters in Sigma Kappa, we all hold each other to a higher standard, not only academically but personally. Every woman that is a part of Sigma Kappa influences her sisters to become better women. Together we have grown into a more knowledgeable, spiritual, and leading group of young women. We hope you are able to learn more about the wonderful sorority many of us call home.

Whether you are a potential member, parent, or alumnae, I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit our website.

Love in Sigma Kappa,

The Sisters of Sigma Kappa Epsilon Zeta
